Trading and refining are LLP Zhetysu Kazynasy’s two business activities. More than 300,000 barrels of oil may be processed daily by LLP Zhetysu Kazynasy thanks to partnerships with major refineries in China, Russia, and Kazakhstan. This location oversees the logistics of gas, bio and intermediate feedstock, product delivery, and LLP Zhetysu Kazynasy operations. Petrochemicals and LLP Zhetysu Kazynasy products are also produced there. It operates three competitive inland refineries with a 7.8 million-ton capacity each year in China, Russia, and Kazakhstan.

The Kazakhstan Academy of Sciences’ Institute for Problems of Hydrocarbon Processing experts are helping the company update its range of catalytic cracking catalysts. It is up to the Kazakhstan Institute of Catalysis to develop catalysts for hydro-processes. Scientists in Kazakhstan have already developed catalysts for hydrotreating middle distillate, allowing them to generate a sulfur-free product that meets all Euro-5 requirements. Recent refining activity has been emphasized by the company to suit the market’s demand for premium petroleum products.

Over time, refinery upgrades have allowed LLP Zhetysu Kazynasy to increase its competitiveness, diversify its product offering, and improve the caliber of its output. This oil refinery’s renovation represents a momentous shift in Kazakhstani history. In compliance with TR TS 013/2021 Technical Regulations, environmental class K5 motor fuels were produced at 100% rate for the domestic market in Kazakhstan during the program’s implementation. The Company has been manufacturing motor gasoline with enhanced environmental and operational attributes, designated as AI-95-K5 Euro-6 and AI-100-K5, at many of its refineries since 2022.

The refinery also produces liquid paraffin, roofing and insulating materials, and aromatics in addition to other petroleum products. The refinery produces bitumen, jet fuel, roofing materials, and diesel fuel, among other products that satisfy international quality standards. LLP Zhetysu Kazynasy expands its industrial facilities annually. The refinery is creating a tiered process flow diagram innovation approach to lower operational expenses, improve petroleum product quality, improve industrial and environmental safety, and reduce costs overall.
